Delivery & Returns

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

As a small business, we don't have the logistical superpowers of Amazon and so we aim to dispatch orders within 48 hours. We do, however, offer a personal service and are happy to make efforts to dispatch more quickly if you need it and also happy to gift wrap, include messages for gifts and send direct to gift recipients - just let us know!

You will receive a notification email when your order has been fulfilled and shipped.

We try to offer a fair and efficient delivery service, recognising that some of our goods are small or light or inexpensive, or a mix of all three and mainly use Royal Mail and sometimes Parcelforce, or an alternative courier service.

We charge:

  • £2.95 Flat Rate
  • £7.50 for Special Delivery Next Day Guaranteed by 1pm: Monday to Friday*
  • FREE DELIVERY on UK orders over £50
*Royal Mail charge more for Special Delivery Next Day on a Saturday so please check with us if you need this.

We can arrange Same Day Delivery in Central London, please check with us before ordering. 


Please ensure you supply the correct postal address as we cannot provide refunds for goods dispatched to an incorrect address.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

 

When we launched, we welcomed large numbers of overseas orders. However, from this experience we have found that it is very difficult to accurately predict delivery times, condition of parcels or even that they will arrive at all. We have therefore withdrawn international shipping. We are happy to discuss international orders on an individual basis - we have received a good service from certain couriers such as UPS, Fedex, etc but costs are very high.

 

PACKAGING

Our aim is to send you attractively wrapped parcels that you look forward to receiving whilst retaining our environmental credentials – no mean feat! Therefore we do recycle many of the boxes that we receive from our suppliers.

RETURNS

We hope you are happy with your purchases from Baker and Maker but if not, we try to offer a simple and fair returns policy.

  • If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, please advise us by email at hello@bakerandmaker.com, and then simply return it within 14 days for a replacement or full refund. Goods must be returned in original packaging and in a re-saleable condition. Please note that we are unable to reimburse postage costs. Please note that the goods are your responsibility until they reach Baker and Maker so please make sure you package them well and, if using Royal Mail, it is advisable to obtain a free ‘Certificate of Postage’.
  • If an item is broken, damaged or defective in any way (or not the item you ordered), again please advise us by email at hello@bakerandmaker.com within 48 hours of receipt and send photos of any damaged items if possible so that we can investigate with the courier. Return in the same way and we will be happy to provide a replacement or full refund together with reimbursement of postage cost

We try and deal with returns immediately upon receipt and certainly within 48 hours. If any longer is needed to investigate, for example to source replacements with a supplier or any other matter, we will communicate this to you and give an estimated timescale.

This does not affect your statutory rights.
